Schedule: Full-time; hybrid with 1–2 remote days per week after the training period Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Portland-based organization to hire a Legal Consultant. This role will provide strategic guidance to clients on corporate entity structures, internal governance, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions. The Legal Consultant will manage a portfolio of client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor throughout complex business transactions and planning initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented attorney who can clearly communicate complex legal concepts, independently manage multiple projects, and build strong client relationships. Responsibilities: Advise clients on corporate entity structures, internal governance, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and related business matters Draft, review, and revise operating agreements, purchase agreements, contracts, and other transactional documents Lead multiple client engagements concurrently, overseeing project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables from initial assessment through completion Identify potential legal, transactional, and operational issues and develop practical solutions to address risks and improve workflows Build trusted client relationships and communicate complex legal and business concepts clearly and professionally Collaborate with other consulting teams to deliver coordinated guidance and ensure a smooth client experience Utilize Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and other platforms to manage projects, workflows, and reporting Stay current on applicable laws, regulations, industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client and business information Qualifications: Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred 2+ years of legal experience, preferably with a corporate law firm, financial services organization, or consulting firm Experience drafting and reviewing corporate agreements and transactional documents Knowledge of corporate governance, entity formation, succession planning, or mergers and acquisitions preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail Self-motivated and capable of independently managing multiple priorities and deadlines Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce, Slack, Smartsheet, or SharePoint is a plus Incentive compensation opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with a 25% employer match Paid company holidays, including the employee’s birthday Accrued paid time off Company-provided lunches, snacks, and team-building events To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr
